About the event
When a Cuban-American girl makes the 28-mile "pilgrimage" from Miami to Fort Lauderdale, she’s met with flying toads, unmedicated ADD, and the heavy lift of being first-gen. Between mourning her mother and "rising from the dead" for weekly drama, she survives on imagination, home-cooked food, and a chaotic family. She’s still standing—well, kind of.
